Confidentiality policy

Your Privacy Matters
 

As your coach, I take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. What we discuss in our coaching sessions—whether in person, over video, or by phone—is treated with the highest level of care and respect. My goal is to create a space where you can speak freely and feel fully supported.
 

What’s Confidential
 

Everything you share with me during our sessions, as well as any written or digital communication (emails, messages, forms, or notes), is kept strictly confidential. I will not share your information with anyone without your explicit permission.
 

Exceptions to Confidentiality
 

There are a few rare situations where I may be legally or ethically required to break confidentiality. These include:
 

• If you disclose intent to harm yourself or someone else.
   

• If I have reason to believe that a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult is being abused or neglected.
   

• If I am required to comply with a court order or other legal process.
   

In any such case, I will make every effort to discuss the situation with you first, whenever possible.
 

Technology and Communication
 

I use secure, password-protected systems to manage scheduling, notes, and communication. However, no online system is 100% risk-free. Please avoid sharing highly sensitive personal information over email or text, and let me know if you have any particular privacy concerns so we can plan accordingly.
 

Group Settings
 

In group sessions, workshops, or community calls, confidentiality is a shared responsibility. I ask all participants to agree that what is shared in the group stays within the group.
 

Coaching vs. Therapy
 

Coaching is distinct from psychotherapy or counseling and is not subject to the same legal privilege protections that apply to licensed mental health professionals. However, I hold all client information in confidence to the fullest extent allowed by law and professional ethics.
